Year 1 Primary Care positions

For our inaugural year (2025-2026), we are excited to have 2 positions available for the Year 1 Primary Care Residency program.

how to apply

All residency programs in Canada have moved to a single on-line application process administered by the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP) Pharmacy Residency Matching Service (PRAMS). Once open, the application portal will be available on their website: https://cshp-scph.ca/prams-for-applicants

All information provided in the application and reference letters will be reviewed and considered in the selection process. Applicants will be matched with the residency programs via the CSHP PRAMS. All applicants must be registered with the CSHP PRAMS matching service in order to be selected. 

The PRAMS portal is NOW OPEN for new applications for the 2025-26 year!

Applications open on PRAMS - mid-August
Applications deadline - early October
Interviews - early December
PRAMS Ranking deadline - early January
PRAMS matches announced - mid-January
Program start date - mid-July

Required credentials and qualifications

Applicants are required to be registered and licensed as a pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.  All exams required for licensure must be completed prior to the start of the residency program.

International and out-of-province applicants are welcome and encouraged to apply.

All successful applicants to the LMPS Year 1 Primary Care Residency program must provide evidence of membership with CSHP and maintain their active membership throughout the course of the residency year.
