Programs
The Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services (LMPS) offers one of the largest single Year 1 Residency programs in Canada and has three different specialties in its advanced Year 2 program. For the 2024-2025 Residency Year, we will be offering 39 Year 1 residency spots (32 Adult Inpatient positions, 4 Pediatric positions, and 3 new Adult Ambulatory Care Positions!) and 6 Year 2 spots! We have a large diversity in practice sites, over 250 clinical pharmacy preceptors, and an integrated curriculum from Vancouver Coastal Health, Providence Health Care, Fraser Health, and BC Children's & Women's Hospital.
**NEW! For the 2025-2026 academic year, we will be offering 2 positions for the new Year 1 Primary Care Residency program.
Since 1970, there have been over 650 successful graduates. With over 50 years of experience in training pharmacy residents, and the largest and most dedicated and experienced group of preceptors and mentors in some of the most prominent teaching hospitals in Canada, the LMPS Pharmacy Residency Program is an excellent place to advance your pharmacy career!
