Purpose

The purpose of the LMPS Pharmacy Residency Program is to provide residents with the diverse, structured and robust learning opportunities necessary to develop the knowledge, skills and professional attributes required for direct patient care roles and innovative pharmacy practice.

Program Description

The LMPS Pharmacy Residency Program is a 52-week experiential training program focused on institutional pharmacy practice.  

The program is designed to provide unparalleled opportunities for pharmacists to experience practice within the diversity of sites and patient care settings encompassed by our large urban and rural university-affiliated health regions, Vancouver Coastal Health, Providence Health Care, Fraser Health, and the Provincial Health Services Authority

The program is affiliated with UBC’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists, and is led and delivered by the committed staff of Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services.  This program is adherent to the standards and best practices that these affiliations provide.
